ABOUT JOE
Joseph - Concussion Physiotherapist
Joseph is a physiotherapist with a strong focus on concussion assessment, management and rehabilitation. He is an ImPACT-qualified concussion physiotherapist and works extensively with patients at the Melbourne Sports Concussion Clinic (MSCC) experiencing concussion and persistent post-concussion symptoms.
Joseph also works within the high-performance sporting environment at the Melbourne Storm, where he is involved in concussion care and rehabilitation through the club’s pathways program. He also supports junior and senior representative athletes through his work with NRL Victoria.
Holding a Master of Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy), Joseph combines his concussion expertise with a strong background in sports injury rehabilitation. His approach includes comprehensive assessment, individually tailored rehabilitation, patient education and measurable return to activity and return-to-sport goals.
Joseph takes great pride in providing the highest standard of care and achieving the best possible outcomes for every client. He understands that concussion recovery can affect many aspects of a person’s life and is committed to helping each patient feel supported, confident and informed throughout their rehabilitation.
Having grown up playing basketball and participating in a wide range of sports, Joseph has experienced injury firsthand and understands the frustration of being sidelined. This personal experience continues to drive his passion for helping people safely return to sport, work, study and the activities they enjoy.
Outside the clinic, Joseph enjoys trail running in the Dandenong Ranges, cycling steep climbs, undertaking multi-day hikes and strength training to maintain resilience and performance.
