ImPACT Baseline Testing
Baseline testing gives us a picture of your brain's normal function before an injury happens, so if a concussion occurs later, we have your own personal data to compare against — not just age and sex averages. The computerised test takes around 20 minutes and can be completed from home, making it easy for individual athletes or entire club rosters to get tested ahead of the season.
Post Concussion Testing & Assessment
f you've had a suspected concussion, our in-clinic assessment combines an ImPACT post-injury test, a modified SCAT6, and a Vestibular Oculomotor Motor Screening (VOMS) to accurately diagnose whether a concussion occurred and how severe it is. Combining these tools gives us high sensitivity and specificity — meaning fewer false negatives and a diagnosis you can trust.
Post Concussion Treatment & Rehabilitation
Once a concussion is confirmed, we guide you through a structured, personalised rehabilitation program — including vestibular and oculomotor rehab, and graded exercise testing on our Buffalo treadmill protocol — to safely return you to sport. We only clear an athlete to return once all physical and cognitive symptoms have resolved and testing confirms cognitive function is back to normal.

For Clubs & Associations We offer team baseline testing packages so your whole club gets grouped, on-file results — protecting your athletes and giving your club a standardised concussion protocol. This is cost-effective for football, netball, and basketball clubs and associations alike.
Our Medical Director, Dr Zee Arain, is a former Chief Medical Officer for Melbourne Football Club and Consultant Concussion Doctor to the AFL. MSCC is proud to partner with the Eastern Ranges, Southern Football League and preferred clinic for Maroondah & Knox Emergency Departments as well as Melbourne based allied health clinics.
