We have invested in state of the art concussion screening technology from the USA that enables us to complete neurocognitive concussion testing online through validated concussion screening and diagnostic tools. Our ImPACT testing & diagnostic system is a world leader in this space. This enables us the ability to not only deliver the experience at your convenience but also to help reach and assist as many people as possible.
WHAT IS ImPACT TESTING?
ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) is a state-of- the-art computer software based tool used to evaluate brain function following a concussion. It provides valuable insights into an individual's cognitive abilities, helping us tailor a personalized treatment plan. ​
By utilising this cutting-edge technology, we can better understand the impact of a concussion and guide the recovery process effectively, returning you back to sport safely.
The computerised BASELINE Concussion Test takes 20 minutes to complete and can be done from the comfort of your own home. Suspected Concussion Testing is completed in our clinic under the supervision of one of our experienced concussion healthcare professionals.
Once the test is completed your data is processed and compared against normative data for your age and sex. The gold standard for anyone playing sport is to complete this test as a baseline, without a current concussion injury. That way your data is stored in our portal and if you ever have a concussion we can retest you against your normative data to see if you infact sustained a concussion and if so, any differences and gauge how severe the concussion may be.
