ABOUT DR. ZEE
Dr Zeeshan Arain is a Sports Medicine specialist and a qualified General Practitioner. With over 20 years of experience working across a range of different medical fields, he has worked in emergency medicine, medical education, concussion research, nutrition, and weight loss. Across all avenues of his medical career, Zee’s ultimate passion is to help people feel healthy and pain-free – the best version of themselves.

Zee’s experience with elite sport and related medical attention is vast, having worked as head doctor for Melbourne Demons AFL club for 8 years, as well as other positions including involvement with Melbourne Storm NRL and the Malaysian track cycling team. This experience has exposed him to a range of different pain conditions and ongoing and upcoming treatment methods. The rewarding nature of sports medicine inspired Zee to lend a greater focus to this area.

He has a particular interest in concussion, having worked for 4 years at the AFL in concussion research. Zee is the medical director at the Melbourne Sports Concussion Centre.

Training in interventional pain by local and international experts, Zee also holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University, and a Master of Public Health and tropical Medicine from James Cook University. He has been a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practice for over 10 years.
